From Roots to Legacy: Honoring a Beloved Tree in Highland Woods

When a cherished tree that had stood at the heart of a community for decades was struck by lightning, the loss was deeply felt. More than just wood and leaves, this tree was a beautiful representation of this community. Rather than see it removed and forgotten, the community manager Laura Turner had a vision: to preserve the tree in a way that would honor its legacy. That’s where Saw & Mill Company came in.

We had the privilege of milling the fallen tree and transforming it into something lasting and will live on at the Highland Woods community’s Owners Club, reminding everyone of the roots they’ve shared and the growth still to come.
